received her education at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria, with Christos Polizoides, where she obtained her Pedagogical Diploma and also her Diploma of Concert Performer with the unanimous qualification of “cum laude”.

She also took classes with violinists such as Wanda Wilkomirska, Wolfgang Schneiderhan, Max Rostal and Franco Gulli. She obtained different prizes in various competitions, received the Award for Cultural Promotion from her home town, was concert master with the Symphony Orchestra of Graz and has collaborated with the Kammerphilharmonie of Vienna, the Vorarlberger Kammerorchester and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Graz, before she moved to Spain permanently, where she started out as second concert master of the Orchestra de la Región de Murcia, and later, until 2011, became first guest-concert master of the Symphonic Orchestra of Murcia.

As a soloist and chamber musician she has travelled around almost all of Europe, as well as to Argentina, Uruguay, Morocco and Japan. Since 2000 she has been the concert master and artistic director of Il Concerto Accademico and founding member of the ILCA Quartett. She regularly plays with members of the Camerata Polyzoides, the Cologn String Sextett and the Aron Quartett, as well as with the guitar player Miquel Perelló and the pianists Jesús Gómez, Li-Fang Su, Janna Polyzoides and Gustavo Díaz Jerez. Her recordings for the labels RTVE and EXTRAPLATTE include works of all styles and eras.

Margherita Marseglia is a dedicated instructor for violin at the Conservatorio Superior de Música 'Óscar Esplá' of Music in Alicante, as well as at various international courses of interpretation and chamber music in Spain and Austria.
